Images highlight different areas of Florida’s ecological landscapes, such as The Everglades and other state parks. The importance of these landscapes are too often ignored, with the continous rising of hyper development in Florida and government bills and laws endangering the fresh water supply the state, of which our cities depend on for living.
These 35mm negatives have been physically deconstructed and reinterpreted to depict the current relationship that we have to our landscape: disconnected, longing for what once was, in anguish that too much has been done. We must look into every fragment and find ourselves within what we have lost in the destruction. Images highlight different areas of Florida’s ecological landscapes, such as The Everglades and other state parks.
Exhibited during “The Future Ain’t What It Used To Be”, an art basel exhibition featuring participating undergraduate students from The New World School of The Arts at The Kampong, Miami FL
